Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a natural medicinal system which stimulates the body's ability to heal itself. It emerged as a highly systematic medicinal treatment in the late 1700's through the efforts of German physician Samuel Hahnemann. He discovered that a substance given in a specially prepared minute dose would ameliorate symptoms that it would have caused if given in overdose. This principle was coined "like cures like." For example, a homeopathic medicine made from honey bees, Apis, is used to treat the acute swelling and pain from a bee sting.

Today, homeopathy is taught in medical schools and professional courses around the world, particularly in Europe, India, South America and the U.S. The homeopathic medicines are prepared in professional pharmacies from a wide variety of animal, vegetable, mineral and chemical substances. The medicines are chosen based on the physical, mental, and emotional symptoms of the patient. Homeopathy treats a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses. Illnesses which indicate a weak immune system, such as chronic infections, are often effectively treated.

Dr. Anzicek studied homeopathy extensively with Paul Herscu MD and completed 4 years of coursework at the Hahnemann college with Roger Morrison MD, Nandy Herrick PA, and Jonathan Shore MD.
